Spinning with new crew

Out yesterday morning in Force 19 gale/block headwind saw us climbing back up into the beautiful Dandenongs, this time with 2 new riders to my Saturday mornings, Troy and Erin, both of whom shamefully sported triple front chainrings. Whilst I never saw Troy use his, there was definite grease marks on it, indicating use, but being on a flat bar bike, concessions can be allowed... Erin on the other hand, was a bandit for dropping it in straight away to climb a speed hump! Triples should be banned from anyone who claims to be a serious cyclist, categorically! With legs the size of Erin's, certainly no need for that granny ring garbage. Set it free Erin, set it free.

Anyway, up the elbow and a casual loop through the hills was a nice way to start the weekend, then following that with Mannerings bucks night last night, a bowling/beef/beer extravaganza with a visit to one of the crappest strips on King St, followed by a far better venue and the boys continuing the looseness! Bet Manners isn't too flash today, but no photos by mutual agreement!

This is the place that we are working on at the moment, a renovation of the LifeLounge on StKildaRoad- this was a while ago, but I'll toss up some progress pics soon!

Less than 3 weeks before the Scott 24hour- C'mon!!

You're complaining of triple rings? two is bad enough. And what about all those ones at the back, surely one is all you need. And don't get me started on such nonesense as freewheels, and running front AND rear brakes. It's just useless weight.

troy bailey wins the ugliest man in cycling award hands down. the guy should take up downhilling so we don't have to look at his slapped ass monkey face. his bike handling skills leave a little to be desired though....... no DH for him!
