So doing a swift oil change prior to the long weekend and Epix, I found that the oil filter was pretty snug. Like, climb into the engine bay, swear and curse at it and twist like hell, and no dice... The filter was on snug as a bug, and my hands just kept slipping. I was looking for something grippy like this but couldn't think of anything, until I remembered some double sided tape! Perfect!
A good clean down with degreaser and plenty on the hands, the tape stuck to the filter and ready to go! Peel the other side, align the 'ol hands and hope like hell. Actually, twist like hell and hope the skin stays on!
Surely enough it did and I was rewarded with this...!
Plenty of other truck work has gone on as well, with about 45L of compressed air split in 2 tanks on board for tyres, 100L of drinking water in 2 tanks, 105Ah of battery power via dual batteries for fridge and lights, twin camelbak holders for driver and passenger, and not a great deal of sleep had. Thank must go the the 'Hoff for all his help with the welder too, cheers mate!
This weekend, we roll into the high country.
