Carl Moroney

Randall, rockin it mudguards et al.

Hell ride saturday morning had a great turn out for the MTB'ers, with Bellie, Simon, Jason, Randall and Carl Moroney (who leaves for World 24 Solo champs today - GOOD LUCK mate!)
all turning up.

From the get go, we all rolled to either the front or very close and had it cracked open all the way to Mt Eliza. Randall was showing us how its done, rolling turns at 54km/h on the flats until he blew each time (who's going to roll over that!!?) It all kinda came undone when he forgot about the second hill before Mt Eliza and had a bit of a battle with that one, but still came through with the goods. He won 'best new rider' for the day, having never gotten involved with the black rock shenanigans before.

Everyone had it wide open for a laugh, coz that seems to be what we do ;) I'm not sure we make the bunch terribly happy when we do, but thats what hell ride is for; suffer a little! I think we spat the biggest bunch I've seen over Olivers Hill, picking them up on the way back. Fun times, right up until Jason got chopped in the sprint for 2nd or 3rd, I offered the weakest lead out ever (about 3.5 seconds before *BANG*) and Bellie had to pin it to get to Lysterfield for coaching duties.

And then I got to install some 12v downlights in the truck, pics to come when it gets dark ;)
