I think that Nick Martin said it best when he commented that he returns home from a ride and still doesn't have the the solution for world peace. So much stuff rolls through your head whilst you pedal away, and you feel like you have solved so many quandry's, yet that during that ride down ththe driveway, somehow it all vanishes from my consciousness along with any inclination to act upon it... Its almost like you become a different person whilst riding, someone happy to suffer, happy to find solutions no matter the effort, almost like you live in a *hypothetical world*.
Pretty obvious that today I got back on the bike eh?! It was so nice to be outside, in the wind, and sweating. It really makes you feel alive, to be able to suffer and to know that you can get better, and have sensation again. Wind trainers create this insular little world where you feel like you are going so hard, yet achieving *nothing*. So to be out, no matter how much the 4 week old broken hand feels, is worth it. Unless I do something stupid which costs me a pinning, but hopefully that won't happen! I can't wait to get out and race! To be out and able to ride hard against my mates is what I'm dying to do. Soon, so soon!
