I just heard on the radio, the muppet from Warren Miller's latest ski movie, with his line "Your amplitude has something to do with your attitude which controls your altitude" or some such crap... This from a bloke who hucks, and it can only be described as hucks, a 80m/270 odd foot cliff to headplant.... Like, ow.... He drops like a rock, gets about 2/3rds of the way to the bottom, and starts to rotate backwards until he is dropping head first... Then hits the snow pack...
He lived, (strangely) and now travels the world on the back of that feat. Would you throw yourself off a cliff for 'fame and fortune'? Maybe, but certainly not for a Warren Miller flick ;)
At any rate, even as a snowboarder, it was a good film which made a change from the previous few efforts from them. I'd say go see it if you can, although it will make you want to move to a small mountain hut with a snowmobile and 500in of annual powder- which makes Australian life quite untenable...
Other than that, its just work and riding at the moment. Hopefully an riding adventure will get off the ground on Sunday, and I'll have some photos to post! But until then, dirt crits tonight and it doesn't look like its due to rain, so that should be good. I noticed that there are a few blogs that have cracked an update recently, so have a look through them to see what people are up to.
Oh, and there is rumors on the horizon that the Red Baron's days may be numbered....!! What could be next? We wait and see!
