Hell ride saturday was a who's who of Australian cycling - Ben Day, Hilton Clarke on a singlespeed, Tommy Nankervis and many more, and I was ready for a nap. During the ride... A tough little ride with nothing in the tank, so I was a passenger for most of it. So for a little 'bikes down' time on sunday, we went down the coast for a surf. Pity there was none eh.... What we did however see is 1) a GT-40 replica tooling down the highway. For those of you that don't know what a GT-40 is, allow me a brief history lesson for you. The GT-40 was a Ford, designed by a true American to beat the Euros at Le Mans. At the time, they were all being smashed by the Euro's like Ferrari etc, and Ford MoCo decided that they could build a better mousetrap, and hence the GT40 came to being. A bloke in Dromana now builds replicas from the ground up, and they are an awesome little car. Light as buggery, with a monster engine- a perfect mix!!

2) Silly paragliding people. What nut jobs. Throwing yourself off a cliff in the hope that the wind carries your tubby ass upwards. Sounds like Icarus to me...
And I couldn't make it through a day without a pedal, so we bombed around Lysterfield in the early evening, which was loads of fun. Some of those trails are just great, nice and fast, grippy and flowing. Just so much fun, and its nice to have a chat every so often, social riding if you will.

So that was sunday. What did you do?
Anything as mad as this??
