So this weekend was a reasonably quality weekend of pedalling, being at home was nice too, but unfortunatly the weather did not cooperate at all! Yesterday at hell ride, we made it about 1/3 of the way around and the drizzle started, which turned to rain and then, well, it was just wet.... With Troy, Simon and Erin all making their maiden appearances, they seemed to enjoy themselves, and with a very nervous bunch I was happy to make it through unscathed. I can't say the same for the fellah that had a bit of a lie down in the windup to Black Rock, there is something about the sound of tortured metal sliding along the road that stays with you... Yuk! We were in a bit of a rush too, so I assume he was alright, sliding along amongst the bikes. Nobody I spoke to hit him, so lucky him. Guess he shouldn't lean on people in the wet. Rolling home was also pretty quick, and we ended up doing 5 sprints for the day, with sneaky Johnny (Giant) coming from sanbaggers last, and rolling us at BP. Still, a good little hit out, and I felt it today.
Up in the 'Nongs with Joel (Pink boy- on the back of a bucks night at the 'strips) Jack (Felt Racing) Ivan and brother Chris, we had a good little loop, which was really the first hills roll for the year. And it felt like it, just quietly. Up the Elbow, I though I was going to do a pooper valve, but then everyone kinda died a bit, and I clung to Joel's wheel for the duration, and the trend continued for the rest of the ride, with Joel charging along as he loves to do. At any rate, we hit a few climbs, suffered our way into something we can called form, then got beaten up on the way home in the gale, making it a good few hours on the bike and a tidy weekend for me.
And check out the roost on these clowns, braaaap! Looks like Trebon killing it over in Europe in the cross season, madness if you ask me!

Commitment?? I think so, especially from Sager who would be excused for being disenchanted with the sport of competitive cycling... How rad is that, check out his blog for some more commitment and cool pics.
