Beach in winter - puuurfect!

With a week of holiday on the cards, we loaded up ScubaSteve to the hilt with all our bits and bobs, and hit the highway... On the friday of the long weekend. At 6pm... *sigh*...

Once out of the city, we cranked the tunes and settled in for a long drive out towards Mt Gambier.

I've decided to make this a pictorial series of posts, as lets face it, reading is becoming a dying art and very few people actually take the time to read it, so perhaps if there is a series of pictures with some captions, it might make some people want to get out there!

Passing through Dunkeld at the foot of the Grampians.

At Beachport, they let you all the way onto the beach and you can play to your hearts content. The aim of the game is to drive to Robe, over 4 hours full tilt, or a few days at your liesure. We chose the latter and why the hell wouldn't you?!

Did I say, right on the beach?

What was that scene in Braveheart? The blue ass one? Either way, this reminded me of it...

And there is a few hundred more where this came from, but uploading has worn thin today, so check back over the next few days as we travel the beach, the desert and the Murray river.
