Its screaming outside. If the old north wind really was having a party, like the song suggests, then he's invited all his mates around and he's having a hell of a kegger!! A gust stopped me dead on the way home, its squally as hell! When your helmet is getting blown off your head, and you can see whitecaps and the wind is blowing offshore, its howling.
Other than that, Castlemaine 6 Hour is coming, and the weather is looking fine. I'm excited about a mud free event, more than you realise! When you have all the bits that break, break at the one time, you realise how bad mud really is for everything! Summer racing rules! BB's, jockey wheels, freehubs, brakes, pads/cables/chains- not a good week! That, and running multiple bikes in the mud is a double edged sword! Less wear, more work?!
In some related-to-bikes research, I found the best way to spend the winter here down in Baja, Mexico. Geez I hanging for summer today! Also, if you aren't accross Nick Martin and his blog, well you should educate yourself!
Finally we now have somewhere to graze as well, other than crosslegged on the tiles.
And finally, the water tank. Its got a tapped breather, a valved outlet hose for multiple attachments, linked tanks for both water and breathing (daisy chain at each end), and a copious amount of silicon to seal it. Oh, and its pressurised via a schrader tubeless valve. Sweet eh, and it goes where the spare wheel would go on the Red Baron.
Thanks for visiting :)
