Today, the Red Baron has lost all of its hard earned masculinity.. The roofrack has been stripped for a fix job on the tray where the cancer is getting a hold, and it probably a good time to have a look at the rack and the truck where you couldn't normally get to! Still, it looks pretty gay...

This is what my rides looked like when they came in for surgery...

Mid operation. Stripped back to frame to provide a clean canvas for the singlespeed conversion to take place, the frame gets a bit of a half assed clean for convieniences sake...

Da naaah!! A singlespeed in my posession!! I actually thought it would never happen, and someone posed the question as to why, and I'm not sure that I could really explain it too well...?! But it sure looks simple and fun...!

This hayes brake got the GV RaceTech treatment, modifying it so it could have the Avid Tri-Align setup and have far more adjustment to cater for the average forks that feature on the this bike... That said, the Avid system seems to work much better, and the caliper works ok... Just.

And thats the whole setup!! 32-14 is the gearing, I've not really much idea what I'm doing, but it seems to work, and doesn't seem to be able to drop off, so we shall see what comes of it!! Looks like I'm into the world of the single speed, lets see if its as much fun as it looks!!
