ScubaSteve has had some more work done of late, with the rear cargo compartment getting closer to the finished stage.
A few other things have gone on there as well, remote central locking keeps the riff raff at bay, the seats still aren't in yet but edging ever closer, and a weekend away to play with it all is just around the corner!!
Until then, its head down and bum up to keep on track for the Mont! Todays unflattering effort at Glenvale was a bit shit really, but its all character building. But at least there isn't a photo of me walking...!!

After a false start last night, I managed a few hours tonight on the bike and wasn't it a treat.
Last night - knicks jersey no worries, 28 degrees.
Tonight - cyclone, 10 degrees....
Shite eh! I've never been blown across an entire lane on the road before tonight. Completely out of control on flat ground, sliding sideways across an entire lane, flat out trying to stay upright. That was insane!
Nuts!
And then I came home and put together my shiny new patio heater, an engagement gift from my riding mates! Thanks all, its wicked! Of course our other presents were ace too, but patio heaters, c'mon that rocks!! ;)

havin one of those days...
You know the ones....
Have a quick ride in the dark after you get home, and can't find your spares for the first time in months. Of course you flat at the furthest part of your ride, and since you were going for some peace and quiet in the traffic, you don't take your phone, and trash your bare feet on the hour long walk home.
With a stuffed arm from an errant bit of hardwood during the day thats made my arm all painful and tingly. Why they call it a funny bone has me stuffed... There ain't nothing funny about this!
Anyway, good party on the weekend meant that basically the weekend was written off with organization and cleaning.
And then I found these two stories to make my day look pretty damn sweet!
Fabians broken foot
Tara Llanes who broke her back amongst other things, at a mtb race in the states - her diary of rehab.

With the Marion Jones story breaking over the last few days, it was with some suprise that Bellie and I discovered the rot has reached Australia. This morning was supposed to be a 'nongs ride with a few hastily organised companions, but after running 4 minutes late, confusion reigned and Bellie and I decided to wander off on our lonesome. Heading out towards Kinglake and Whittlesea from Burwood, we were shocked to discover in the car park of the Whittlesea football club, a vial of Anabolic steroids sitting empty on the ground. A proper vial, rubber top for syringe, the works. In Whittlesea! I wonder how that worked? Nip down to the car park to hit up? Hard session on the weights at the club? How the hell does that work....???
Still scratching our heads, we peddled on, the ride back home from Whittlesea is always a tough one, and a headwind helped nobody. And Bell St is hilarious, with all ethnic backgrounds easily discernable by their driving 'styles'. Wear a helmet is my advice!!
Anyway, no pictures (Bellie had some, maybe he'll post them)as it was pouring when I left home at 6.30, but I'll pop up the google map one day soon, as its kinda interested. Anyway, projects always on the go, so with the 4m shelves completed in the garage, and some extra house lights due to be installed, its back onto ScubaSteve to get those seats bolted in, eh!

Woah, its been a while...
I guess a lot has happened, so much so that I've not even had time to write this blog. Many of the things that we've done on weekends appear on the Felt Blog so you know to check over there too, but lets see, what about me...
Em and I went to Port Douglas
We got engaged, with a ring I designed, and she said yes thankfully.
The views whilst riding weren't too hard to deal with, and the 30 degree temps were more than a little pleasant!
Went out to the reef or Low Isles as its known near there, and saw whales on the way home.
And of course, we had to go see the crocs!
I did some riding in the mornings to get some form of legs for the Werribee 12 hour (Felt Blog for that one) - however Port Douglas is a crap place to ride road bikes. Singlelane highway, shared with tourists and trucks on the roughest surface I've ridden a roadie on...
So anyway, lovely trip, and back for the 12 hour. Then the 3 hour at Mildura, which is also on the Felt Blog, and in between all that, a whole lot of work!
And now, its back to it all, Scuba Steve is in full effect with some snazzy new pews and some half finished drawers in the back of him.
And that would bring you up to date I thinks! In the next few weekends, we'll be out on the bike (not up that stupid hill I hope) around the place preparing for the Mont in a few weeks, and keeping on top of ScubaSteve, figuratively speaking of course.
